After years of dedicated work in the field of education, I found myself drawn to a new calling – becoming a therapist. As a Latina, I realized the profound need for culturally sensitive and empathetic mental health support within our community. I found myself wishing there was more representation that would allow me to express myself freely in English and Spanish. This transition allows me to channel my passion for helping individuals into a more intimate and impactful role, guiding them through life's challenges with compassion and understanding. By combining my educational background with therapeutic techniques, I am excited to empower fellow Latine/x individuals to navigate their struggles, celebrate their strengths, and embark on a journey of healing and growth. This transition represents an exhilarating opportunity for me to create a positive ripple effect, fostering emotional well-being and resilience one person at a time.
I understand the challenges of navigating code switching, setting boundaries and the struggles that come with understanding the impacts of intersectionalities on identity. This approach fosters a safe and inclusive environment, allowing my clients to share their stories authentically. By integrating cultural sensitivity into trauma-informed care, therapy becomes a powerful tool for healing, acknowledging the interconnectedness of personal narratives and cultural identity.vice.
